Return to Hong Kong - Part 12 Wan Tan Mien
One thing Hong Kong is famous for is the wantan mien. I think it's one of the cheapest meal you can get there. A bowl of wantan noodle selling from HKD13 onwards.
Who say eating in HK is expensive?
HK wantan is never comparable to the Malaysia one. HK wantan is wrapped with 2 big juicy succulent prawn, where as Malaysia wantan has tiny pathetic dollop of minced prawn/pork that even the wantan skin sometimes couldn't wrap anything that it seems like it's detached from the fillings.
You get what I mean?
*Sigh*
Other dishes we had were fried fish skin, braised beef brisket with noodle and vegetables.
#1 Fried fish skin is super perfect to be eaten as snack while drinking beer. Lol
#2 Braised beef brisket was okay.
#3 Healthy vegetable.
And femo was eating, unsightly.

Return to Hong Kong - Part 11 Snoopy's World
I know this is way too long from my trip. In case you are wondering whether I went HK again, no I did not. Continuation from Return to Hong Kong - Part 10 The Peak.
Weeeeeeeee. It was the Snoopy's World that we went. *like small kid like that*
Duh.
For sure, it wasn't me who was keen to be there. I am not a cartoooooooon person okay.
Some friends in the group were fond of Snoopy, so we dropped by since it was free entry. lol
It's located in Shatin, the New Town Plaza at the Shatin train station. You'll see signage directing you to the Snoopy's World inside the mall, at the podium of Level 3.
There it is, the entrance.
Joining the kids under the hot weather wasn't a brilliant idea, serious. Imagine having to scare them away (muahahahahaha) so that I could take a picture with the bus without interruption. Still, I failed.
I have to duh again, that's just so omfg not femo.
The surrounding.

#6

I just couldn't be bothered to look any more cheerful than this.
Okay, I think I'll be honest. I was drinking til 7am and woke up 4 hours after, blur-ly freaking reluctantly to visit the Snoopy under the freaking hot weather.
Cartoon and femo? You must be kidding me wtf.
*speechless*
It was random for my mind to adapt to it though. I struggled to switch myself from the sinful night several hours back, to the decent family playground then.
Kids, I tell you, you better not come near me! I smell of alcohol!
Crazy.
That's another reason I was there. Nah, for the psychiatric.
Guess who's the one fond of Snoopy?
It was just hard to chase those kids out of our picture.
Errrrr, that's not me for sure.
Well?
I pimped Snoopy's World.
Lol.

Holi-friday
Last friday was a holiday. What did i do?
Well........
I starfish-ed again. Click here for previous starfish experience months back.
Truly speechless.

All because of the blaaardy sickening evil pothole in Uptown. Yes, blaming it entirely. Lol.
I was wearing jeans, still I ended up like this. It was a tarred road okay.
Do I have to change my name to pokkaiqu33n instead? Duh~
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frustration and pain aside, the same evening I was out with 2 great buddies celebrating something we are really happy for. Shall remain silent for the time being.

We had dinner in one of the tai-chao restaurant in Section 17, byo-ed a nearly full bottle of 1-litre Macallan. Wow wow wow.
I know it sounds 痹(bei)? Lol. Tell you hor it can be very da freaking nice one okay cos it's the people that matters, although it is rather 'uncle' drinking hard liquor in a tai-chao restaurant. I think we just have to admit it. Time flies like nobody's f**king business and we are no more in the youngster days.
Anyway, we had really nice good food, we chilled with slow sips of Macallan (okay, I did ask for a few rounds of bottoms-up. lol), savoured the succulent tasty pork knuckle, chatted and laughed along the way. I really had an awesome evening hanging out with them.

Thank you for the good time (also for the good food and Mac.......muahahahaha)! Faster say thank you first! Ahem~~

Jaw-dropping promo @ Public Ground for Play
I am very excited in posting this entry on my yesterday's outting.
Public Ground for Play there it is.
First, we came across a flyer that says-
RM12 NETT per FULL pint Kilkenny (5-7 pm)
RM17 NETT per FULL pint Kilkenny (7-9 pm)Well, I seriously thought that was crazily unbelievably dirt cheap. So I left office as soon as 5.30pm to verify that. Okay, you might just want to conclude that all I wanted was to drink. Muahhahahaha.
Then we came to Public. Outside the bar, we saw a big banner like this.
Who can beat RM12 nett per FULL pint of Kilkenny? Seriously I have never come across one. So we happily made our way in, then were told that Kilkenny was out of stock. The first thing that crossed my mind was "You see, never will there be free lunch!"
I was a kinda disappointed BUT, he offered Guinness draught instead, at an incredibly insane breakthrough offer of RM10 nett per pint. Wtf then I went like
, totally stunned. What and pardon me?!Femo : Errr......how much is it again? [full concentration awaiting his reply, watching his lips (nothing that I fantasized okay)]
Public : 10 dollars
Femo : Hur? How much?! (Sticking my ears out nearer)
Public : 10 dollars
Femo : 10 dollars? NETT?! (note the emphasis when I said 10)
Public : Yes, 10 nett
Femo : Full pint?
Public : Yes
Femo: ...................... (still taking my time in digesting the information)
Femofren : Okay, two pints please.
After the attendant walked away from our table, I was left in disbelief still. Not sure if femofren had the same thought, then I turned and looked at him still looking very puzzled so I had to ask.
Femo : Did he just say RM10 nett?
Femofren : Yes ar.
Femo : That's like super cheap right?
Femofren : Ya, I have never come across such cheap Guinness draught. Never.
Femo : Same here la, my first time ever.
Then we thought the attendant might be so fresh-off-boat that he didn't get the meaning of FULL and PERFECT pint right. Maybe he thought "Yea, I am giving you a full glass of Guinness, so that's a FULL pint"
Muahahahhahahahahahah.
Okay, I know that's la-me.

Well, we waited and he served 2 freaking FULL pints (I meant FULL), billed us freaking 20 bucks altogether. What da~!
Promotion goes:-
RM10 NETT per FULL Pint (500ml) Guinness Draught from 5-7pm DAILY
RM15 NETT per FULL Pint (500ml) Guinness Draught from 7-9pm DAILYNext question on your mind : Where's that freaking place? I freaking want to go now!
Well, it's located in TTDI Plaza. The Centre Court which used to be a Heineken Bar. Now it's called the Public Ground for Play. Check it out!
* Guinness promo was for the month of November, am not sure if they extended the promotion to December.

Travel with a better camera?
My travel schedule for 2010. I am pretty excited for Manado though.
I see already also want to vomit blood. Wish me good luck. I am having a hard time doing up the itineraries and hotel search and BUDGETING, but kinda enjoy it also.
Damn, the more I look at the list of places, the more I feel the urge for an (affordable) upgrade of camera. DSLR is definitely out for now since I am a soon-to-be jobless person, not forgetting those fexpensive lenses, and taking into account the "poon chun" (盘川 a.k.a travel fund) needed to tour around those destinations.
Sigh. Forget about DSLR at this point in time til I am re-employed again, which I have no freaking idea when.
Anyway, if I insist to get something better, I am left with only choice of something between a normal compact and DSLR, and within my budget. There goes......
Some time ago, I always wanted a G10.
Then I thought of LX-3.
Then G11 came about.
Then S90.
And LX-4 is coming soon.
So, RM1,500-1,800 is my range.
I heard hell loadsa pros and cons for this and that. Dilemma. After much thoughts, I eliminated S90 from the list, so was G10. How now?
I need water proof casing for the camera since I am going for some island getaways to snorkel and also planning for a scuba diving course. Both have it.
Okay, I have zero knowledge for cameras.
By size, LX-3 is so much handier compared to the bulky G11 and it looks quite cool also. Then got the Leica lense all.
Psychologically (i think), looks like G11 produces better pictures, which may or may not be true I seriously do not know. The size that matters?
And it has the flipping LCD thingy and it sorta appeal to me, though it's nothing new.
Eih, so I can camwhore again like using my ST550 (read here) right?
SHUT UP I know I am like some irritating thicked-skin vain ass out there who loves to camwhore and camwhores non-stop.
Whatever it is, what's the verdict?
Buy? Wait? Or forget about it altogether because it's a waste of money?
Sien.

Sushi Station
The big signage of RM16.80 has been quite disturbing everytime I pass by this area, Metro Prima Kepong, especially dining in Happy City (click here) which is located just right opposite 16.80.
This fine evening, decision was made to try it out, finally.
So it's Sushi Station.
Steamboat, BBQ and sushi, all you can eat for RM16.80+. Seriously it sounds damn f**king interesting la.
The entrance of the restaurant.
And finally understood why is it called Sushi Station. There's a train, but it's not a toy.
The train replaces the typical sushi conveyor belt. Smart. All you need to do is to get the a-lot-cheaper railway and a train with wheel pullers or whatever it is called, placing plates and plates of sushi on top of it. Then let the train moves. There saves few hundreds grand (probably) for high capital investment in installing the conveyor system.
Just that simple. Muahahahha.
Sushi was okay though, don't expect something sophisticated like dragon maki or what. They have the basic sushi ranging from the usual crabstick up to thinly sliced salmon / grilled unagi to be on the highest end.
Then we had BBQ. Choice was rather limited but why do you need 50 items if one item alone can taste good enough to keep you refilling for few rounds.
Like the marinated beef. Was good. By the way, for BBQ the choice was limited to only chicken, fish fillet (marinated with a lot of chilli padi one) and beef.
Quite yummy with the strong ginger taste.
There was hotpot too but i didn't seem impressed at all. I think the pot was too small and it's purely clear soup (ewwww). Oh, chilli paste was available to stir into the pot to make it a hot and spicy one, which was quite spicy. Still, it didn't interest me at all so I was sticking to only the BBQ pan.
Drinks are not included. I ordered iced green tea for RM1.80 and is refillable. Fair enough.

SICK-ening week
I am just so damn f**king busy recently. It is so sickening that I actually fell freaking sick, first attacked by sore throat, then cough, then flu, then fever, and then diarrhea. Ooops, I shouldn't have used the word THEN. It all came together in fact.
Imagine heaty all over, headache with beating pulse, running nose, stomach ache, sneezing like an ass *air pollution*, hacking cough *noise pollution*, teary eyes, skin peeling off nose, big painful pimples around my nose *sight pollution*, aching shoulder. Oooh, soooooo damn fugly. Some more busy with work like a mad stupid bitch wtf.
Nevermind, i know i can finish the work very soon. I feeeeeel the reachable finishing point.
Tomorrow is another public holiday *glad*. I don't have a great plan for the long weekend, but definitely am sure that I am going to watch Storm Warriors 2. Nothing much that I am fascinated over this movie, just that I got some free tickets so might as well la.
Other than that, I seriously do not know what else to do. I guess I will sleep most of the time. Oh, I know what. I am going to boil drama again, just like any other ordinary weekends. Days that I don't make a single step out of my house and I don't see sunlights, basically. Even when come to food, i get someone to tapao for me. Muahahhahaha, sound so damn freaking f**king lazy.
So I am going to finish the drama 宫心计(Beyond the Realm of Conscience). Freaking exciting but irritating drama.
So sien now, 5.30pm already. I want to leave office but don't think it will be a good move. lol.

Say bye bye to long hair
After a FULL 3 months with the extended hair, i came to the state of unbearable explosive impatience.
Being the lazy me, I did not have the passion in taking good care of it so i ended up looking very messy most of the time.
I think i can't take the tangles anymore.
From outside, it may not look like there's anything wrong (other than being untidy). In fact, I got f**king irritated by the few BIG patches of tangles nesting underneath.
So I decided to get rid of them.
This would be the last picture taken with 'my' long hair. The hair may look sad which i admit, but I seriously felt kinda reluctant to take them away.
I don't think I had a choice. Sigh.
Say bye bye.
Using the plyer, i had to press hard on 300 over clip rings to loosen the tie.
Like this. Imagine 300.
Taking it out one by one. My hand eventually got painful and my neck is f**king aching now.
More.
It was very tedious. (Didn't look happy)
After an hour.......
I was nearing to the finish line.
Got it all done.
Back to short hair now.
Now I can sleep the way i want, wash my hair the way i want. Free and easy.
I had a thorough wash to clear off the glue. I used up almost the whole bottle of hair conditioner to untangle my hair.
The fact that I lost almost half of my original hair was devastating - broken and tangles. Gone.
Next up, wondering should I just cut it short......

Tabur Hill
Another healthy Sunday.
Bukit Tabur @ Taman Melawati this round.
Our trip to Bukit Tabur began with an initial plan to trek up the hill as early as 5am in the morning to catch the sunrise. Then we heard bad news on the night before - about some trekkers who got lost up there. We hesitated. Bad news came after one another when the morning was welcomed by gloom and drizzles.
Nevertheless, our enthusiaism did not subside. For safety purpose we postponed it to 9am instead.
Tabur Hill is quite different from those other treks that I have been to previously. I won't describe it as a hike neither will I call it trek nor walk and whatsoever. Let me tell you why later. lol
We parked our cars at the foot of the hill. The trail began with the muddy stairs-look-alike path, some steps measuring up 1 to 2 feet tall unexpectedly. I swear the first 20 minutes was really daunting to me that i eventually felt a bit dizzy which i believed was due to lack of oxygen. Perhaps, my bad stamina.
The poor doggie was dragged to come with us.
Making the first pit stop to regain our energy.
Panoramic view.
Climbing up the hill (note i used the word CLIMMMMMBB) didn't just consist of hiking up steep slopes and making big tiring steps over the "stairs".
The trail went on with increasing difficulty when we came to damn f**king a lot of rock walls covered with slippery algae, literally 90 degree vertical, that we had to climb up using our bare hands.
The picture can't really tell what i meant.
The karst-ic hill.
Crossing the big rocks.
The dangerous edge of the trail. Please make sure you don't get too near to it.
The hill is also called the Crystal Hill. I think it's because of the karst rocks.
This is almost rock climbing, just that it's without a rope.
The view of city.
The view from one of the peak. Breezy and relaxing.
Then the warning sign came about.
Came to this, we were only half way through the full trail, perhaps not even half.
To cross over to another peak, the assistance of rope essential.
So dangerous.
We took half an hour rest, and went back down to the foot of the hill.
If you think going up was tedious, getting down was worse. You could crawl on the ground while moving uphill. There's no way that you would want to crawl down hill. My legs were literally shaking having to balance on the downhill steepest slope ever with hell lotta loosened stones and small rocks over the path. You really have to be extra careful here, it's either you slip and fall, or twist and cry.
Well, if you have gone up Tabur a few more rounds, it may not seem as dangerous anymore. Glad that we postponed to 9am. Don't wanna imagine going up there in the dark......
P/S : In case you are wondering whether the poodle made it up there, he almost did but the rocky part nearing the peak was too dangerous for him. So he chickened out. XD.

BBQ @ Genting
I never knew Genting has such a nice place to throw a poolside barbeque party.
It's Genting Permai Resort, near Gohtong Jaya.
We rented a 3-bedroom apartment that cost less than RM400, and accomodated 11 person perfectly. Well, maybe i should say 10 because I had to share a queen size bed with 2 other girls. I had no complaint about it but i sorta pity them because i don't sleep in good position. Hope i didn't snore too. Lol.
Sharp at 6pm, we adjourned to the poolside well prepared for the party.
The bbq pit was rented for RM100, with 2 packets of charcoal provided. While the pit was located right next to a poolside bar, corkage was charged for the beer we brought. However, we managed to negotiate to RM80 for all of them with the supply of ice all night long. So it was not too bad.
First we had the very yummy sphagetti.
Food for bbq was perfectly skewed up beforehand to ensure minimal troubles while bbqing and eating. Every single item we prepared was so freaking-ly conveniently disposable. We even avoided using tupperware, strictly aluminium foil (lazy to do the washing up). Haha, smart le.
Skewing almost 400 sticks of food wasn't that easy okay.
Fuiseh, all done by me, co-assisted by 2 other girls. Thanks!
I think i was being too considerate of the eaters. Thought too much on how they could gobble the bbq stick after stick without dirtying their hands, just like how we normally whack the lok-lok. Lol.
Anyway, I was glad that they enjoyed the food. I assumed. XD
Tempted for the barbeque bacon? I miss~!
I was in charge to bbq the food for a while.
Everyone took turn.
I think the food (
Iwe prepared) was finger licking good. Muahahahahha. The cooling night was accomodating. Nice weather, great food with chilled beer to perfectionize.
The next aim was the swimming pool. Not just the beer, but almost everyone got thrown into.
Yes, the water was cold.
End of the night, I think I was frunk. Haha.
Overall, the trip was a very affordable one. RM125 each, we get to stay, eat, drink and more importantly we enjoyed!
